Various ramblings - RL, Twilight

Did you ever have one of those days where you wanted to throw your computer out the window? Not my laptop but my work computer. Today I did. The computers at work just didn't want to work right. I just wish they would have sent us home but they couldn't do that. I had to suffer thru it.

11 days til Twilight. Yay. Well 2 weeks for me. I won't go on opening day or over the weekend due to phobias I have. I will probably go the Monday after it opens if I have the money.

I am almost finished with Breaking Dawn. I am at a huuuuuge twist or what I think is a huge twist. If what I think happens to Jacob actually happens, I think I will be happy. I am enjoying the book and the entire series. I have been very shocked so far. Never saw some of this coming. I will have to read the entire series again. I loooove it.

Thanks to yendrie and our long discussion, I think I am gonna go watch some X-Files episodes. I miss them. Watched some over the weekend but not the ones we talked about. ;)

New episodes on all shows this week. Yay.

That's exactly why I didn't say anything spoilery in case I came across someone that hadn't read it or was at the same point I was.

My daughter is still about 50 pages from the end of New Moon. I keep pushing her but it isn't working. I am using LJ as my talk place since I can't talk to her about it.

My daughter and her friends already bought their tickets for the 4:30 showing on opening day. I will go on Monday or Tuesday probably. I will know the whole movie by the time I go see it. Please spoil me. :D

Hi! You don't actually know me but I saw your "Christmas canceled" icon in a post on an icon community and it made me giggle so I had to come over.

I hope you don't mind that I plan on friending you. :)

I'm putting off seeing Twilight as well because large crowds make me angry sometimes. I can put up with them but I tend to avoid going to movies on Friday or Saturday nights simply because all the dumb people seem to come out. I've also discovered that AMC theaters offer evening shows for $5 during the week so it's cheaper to go then as well.

I'm curious to hear what you think of Breaking Dawn. I read the whole saga in just under two weeks (I usually don't read that fast but the books made me).

The more the merrier I always say. I added you back. :) I actually don't remember who made that icon but it always makes me laugh. I can't seem to get rid of it or replace it. It stays where it is and I use it quite a lot.

You caught me just in time before my journal goes F/O. I will either add the post tonight or tomorrow. Still looking for a banner. I am finding myself rambling on about real life and I think that is something not everyone needs to know about.

I am claustrophobic and crowdphobic (whatever that is actually called) which is why I don't go to the movies on weekends or on opening weekend. I prefer during the week and I think we are $5 here also during the week before 6 pm. After 6 pm, it's $7 or $8, can't remember. We have Kerasotes theaters.

I am not really a reader. Every once in a while I will pick up a book and read but my teenage daughter begged me to read this series because she started reading it and now she is on New Moon and I am almost finished. Figure that out and I started after her. :D I will give a review of it when I am finished. Getting close. I really hope to finish by the time Twilight comes out.

There are icons that are like that. No idea where they came from but too amusing to get rid of.

Good timing for me then! I've had periods of my journal being friends only and being mostly open. I'm feeling more confident and have most things open.

The AMC theatres have the after 6 pm shows at $5 as well which is insane but it's nice. Not a lot of people go to later movies during the week but since I work in a concert hall, that's an ideal time for me to get out.

My curiosity won and I had to read Twilight saga. It's amusing that she begged you to read it and hasn't finished it.

I may put some posts out to everyone but some posts will be F/O. I may come out of my shell at some point but right now, I don't know.

My daughter has a lot of stuff going on right now. She's a senior in high school so with graduation, senior trip, working, boyfriend, TV, music and other things going on, I am surprised she knows who I am. She is never here. I actually got a glimpse of her tonight. :D

I could take a day off from work and go see the movie or go right after work. I'll figure something out but I will see it.

I think that I am thinking the same thing that you are. I am over half way done with Breaking Dawn and part of me does not want to finish it because it means that I have to wait that much longer till the the next book comes out.

I have finished the whole series and started over. I am re-reading Eclipse.

I don't think there will be another book. I don't see Midnight Sun getting finished which is why I haven't read it. I don't like starting something I can't finish.

Anyway, I saw that you friended me. Before I friend you back, I would like to know some things about you. Could you tell me your name, age, other fandoms, that kind of thing. If not here, I have a F/O post that you could post this stuff in. Thanks bunches.
